Mid-Century Fiberglass Pendants

Four vintage mid-century fiberglass shades, each different but gorgeous together.  They have the lovely quality of authentic mid-century design and materials.  Nothing new can match them.  These would look amazing with all four spread above a dining room table.  They would also be fabulous individually as a bed- or chair-side reading light.

Each pendant is wired with 12 feet of our pulley cord, each with a different but compatible cord giving a great variation when hung as a group.  Each shade is a UNO shade, attached to a dark antique brass UNO dimmer socket (so you can turn the knob on the socket to make the bulb brighter and dimmer), an UNO shade holder, and a rubber rectangular plug. The pendants are lit with our Victorian Edison bulbs (not included, but available here). 

You can buy the shades individually or save $50 per shade by buying all 4 at once.

The Jackson Pollock Shade

This shade has a splatter-paint look, new and popular when these shades were made.  This splatter-paint is a silver metallic, slightly raised.  The lacing on the edge is a dull gold plastic, also very authentic to the era. We have this shade wired with pewter rayon pulley cord.

This shade has no discernible flaws.

Top diameter 8", bottom diameter 12", height 8".

The Golden Strands Shade

This shade has randomly scattered golden strands with dull gold plastic lacing.  We have this shade wired with black and putty small hound's-tooth cotton pulley cord.

This shade has no discernible flaws.

Top diameter 8.5", bottom diameter 12", height 8".

The Cloud Swirl with Seeds

This shade has filmy white cloud-like strands with tiny dark brown/black seeds embedded in the strands.  Reminiscent of milkweed, without the sneezing  There is a linen-like tape at the bottom and a braid with gold threads at the top over a paper tape.  We have this shade wired with dark brown cotton pulley cord.

There is some minor discoloration in the bottom tape on this shade and very minor fraying at the ends of the braid.

  

The Cloud Swirl

This shade has filmy white cloud-like strands embedded.  There is a linen-like tape at the bottom and a braid with gold threads at the top over a paper tape.  We have this shade wired with putty cotton pulley cord.

There are some gaps in the paper tape on top and bottom edges of this shade and very minor fraying at the ends of the braid.

Condition

These pendants are vintage, used, and have wear and aging as a result. Noticeable flaws are documented above, but overall are very well preserved. We have made every effort to show the product as accurately as possible in the pictures and descriptions. Please do not purchase them before examining the pictures closely and being aware of the slight flaws listed and pictured below.

This is a one-of-a-kind set of shades, so order right away if you would like them for your own. 

Rewiring

If you would like the product wired with a different wire, socket, and/or plug, or if you would like the pendants without plugs, we can do that for you, with an additional charge of $10 for rewiring plus the price per foot if you would like a cord longer than the 12 feet supplied.  There is no charge for removing the plug.
